Hawk's Cry

I'm not sure what this area is called, but I've always called it Hawk's Cry. It's been pinned in my iOS Maps as such from the very beginning. It's not far out of town and the city is fast encroaching—competing with exploration drilling and fracking in the surrounding area.

It breaks my heart to think of this valley falling under the plough, or even becoming an off-lead dogpark, but I suppose everything ends.

Until then it's just me and the hawks, the savannah sparrows and the deer.

Go outside and do something

We saw nearly ten inches of snowfall in Calgary yesterday and, though the roads were a little interesting, I took the opportunity for a quiet morning walk guaranteed I'd be alone.
